This is my frontend webdevelopment laboratory and playground. It contains different tests and experiments, most of them are related to articles I write in my blog am530. The blog itself is in german, but I decided to write english here.

2011-01-22Playing around with the CSS Counter Elements in various contexts.
Using the CSS-2 Syntax elements for countable Elements and trying to implement this in a wide range of browers. Related to the article „Ordnung ist das halbe Leben”
2010-07-20Cross browser CSS based rotation
Handling the matrix filter to enable rotation in internet explorer.
2010-06-17Playing around with the meter element of html5
Related to the article „Jetzt wird Maß genommen”, testing the possibilities of CSS and Javascript based solution to enhance the html5 meter element.
2010-06-16Testing css-only cross browser text-overflow solution
Related to the article „CSS basiertes text-overflow in allen Browsern” the CSS Element text-overflow might be the most elegant solution to handle text fragments which are to long to fit into a given box, problem is - Firefox does not implement this CSS Element, let's try it anyway (without JavaScript).
2010-06-06Testing variants of css-only button elements
Related to the article „Button-Mania” I think it is time to say goodbye to all those bitmap graphic based buttons - bring them into modern CSS, find a way to support older browsers, and please don't steal their implemented behaviours (for clicking, disabled and so on). Sounds good? Let's see if this realy works.
